Suzanne Dickson Albert’s art celebrates the light, warmth, and color following the American landscape tradition. Places in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, the Carolinas and San Francisco have inspired her landscapes and cityscapes. She was honored with a three-month residency in Bermuda in 2012 and an artist in residency in Southern France in 2014.
She conveys a timelessness in the landscape, a universal idea of that place. Her bold use of pastel in color and spontaneous mark-making give the work its unique character that has awarded her numerous prizes in juried shows, including the Grumbacher Award.
She has exhibited extensively throughout Southeastern New England, including solo shows at the Newport Art Museum, the Providence Art Club, and the Veteran's Memorial Auditorium all in Rhode Island, the Attleboro Museum in Massachusetts, as well as in Connecticut and New York City.
Suzanne Dickson Albert has taught pastel workshops and does commissioned pieces.
